An article, in Spanish, on a mosaic found in Écija (Sevilla). Notice the detail in the baskets, this shows the sort of information we get on things they used in everyday life back then. Also note how the strands of the border mosaic are white-colour-white. Usually the colours in the strands go from dark to light or vice versa, this is not something you see too often. In my opinion with strands of graduating shades, they give more of a sense of the strands/plaits being solid, three dimensional objects. A light-dark-light (or vice versa) makes the strand look more flat, more two dimensional.
