Wolfson College workshop

The workshop went very well, there were 20 people there and I was really pleased with the results. There were a few things that I will now highlight in future workshops.

One thing that does crop up from time to time is people not quite visualising the double strand guilloche border pattern correctly. I try to get students to see it like plaits of hair, to understand the concept of the different strands going under and over each other. I think one of the main things is that with the short course you only have time to do a very short section so I don't think it's clear enough how the whole pattern lays out. I'll now be working on a couple of display mosaics which hopefully will help this.
