Pattern of a Roman mosaic geometric motif ready to print off. The colour drawing shows how a mosaic could look using this pattern.
This variation in the Solomon's knot is quite different from anything else I have seen. Notice how, where the strands are next to each other in the middle, that they share one line of black tesserae instead of having a separate one each.
Included in this download;
1. Black and white pattern (six & two sheets) for mosaics using 10mm mosaic tiles and and 5mm ones. 2. Instructions for setting the mosaic with a colour image of a finished piece. 3. Sheet with approximate number of tesserae of each colour needed.
You will need to cut the border off each of the pattern print offs and then use paper tape to attach them together. Using a sheet of carbon copy paper underneath you can transfer the pattern onto your base.
Tesserae size - 10 mm & 5 mm
Size - 10mm = 39cm x 39cm 5mm = 20cm x 20cm
Sheets to print - 10
